DPR Investment Consultants proudly sponsored “An Evening with Diplomats,” a distinguished networking event organized by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, held on 10th March at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo. The event was graced by Hon. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, as the Chief Guest. Also in attendance were Hon. Arun Premachandra, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment, along with High Commissioners, Ambassadors, senior representatives from the Export Development Board (EDB) and the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI), and members of the private sector.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Herath emphasized the important role of diplomatic engagement in advancing Sri Lanka’s economic interests and supporting the country’s recovery. He noted that the Government’s key priorities include poverty reduction, digitalization, and building a clean Sri Lanka, and highlighted the importance of collaboration between foreign missions and the local private sector to achieve these objectives.
Chairman of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Duminda Hulangamuwa, remarked that the event falls within the Chamber’s engagement and market access initiatives, aimed at creating opportunities for members to expand their trade and investment portfolios globally.
The evening’s discussions covered key areas such as trade facilitation, investment opportunities, and economic cooperation, with an emphasis on strengthening Sri Lanka’s global business footprint.
