Newly appointed Board of Investment (BOI) Chairman and Board members at the Presidential Secretariat in Sri Lanka.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Duminda Hulangamuwa, Senior Economic Adviser to the President, as the new Chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka.

In addition to his appointment as Chairman, Hulangamuwa has also been appointed as a member of the BOI Board. The newly constituted Board also includes Vish Govindasamy, Harshani Randiligama, Mangala Karunaratne, and K. A. Vimalenthirarajah.

The letters of appointment were officially presented by Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, at the Presidential Secretariat.

As Sri Lanka continues to position itself as an attractive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI), the appointment of the new BOI leadership is expected to strengthen investment promotion, improve investor confidence, and support the country’s long-term economic development.

The Board of Investment plays a vital role in facilitating local and foreign investments by offering guidance, incentives, and streamlined approval processes for eligible investment projects across key sectors of the economy.
