Sri Lanka–Canada Business Council Meeting on Trade and Investment

DPR participated in the Meeting with the High Commissioner-Designate to Canada, Mr. Rohana Ambagolla, organized by the Sri Lanka–Canada Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce on 7 October 2026 at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in Colombo.

The meeting brought together members of the business community to engage with Mr. Rohana Ambagolla and discuss opportunities to strengthen trade and investment relations between Sri Lanka and Canada.

Discussions focused on Sri Lanka–Canada trade and investment relations, market opportunities, business challenges, and areas for enhanced bilateral economic cooperation. The meeting provided a platform for business representatives to exchange views and explore opportunities to strengthen commercial ties between the two countries.

Strengthening bilateral business relationships can help create new opportunities for foreign investment, facilitate market access, and encourage collaboration across key economic sectors.
